Templates

Templates are reusable design layouts. Build one once and Mavic can use it again and again to produce on-brand image posts in seconds.

When to use a template

  • You want every Instagram post to share a layout (e.g. "quote on top half, brand color block on bottom").
  • You publish a recurring series (e.g. "Tip Tuesday", "Founder Friday").
  • You need carousel slides with consistent slide-1 / slide-2 / slide-3 design.

How to create a template

Go to Brand DNA → Templates.

  1. Click + Create.
  2. Give the template a clear name (e.g. "IG quote post", "LinkedIn carousel — slide 1").
  3. Design the layout. Add text fields, image placeholders, backgrounds, and shapes.
  4. Apply your brand elements. Pull in your brand colors, your logo, and your headline/body fonts so the template stays on-brand by default.
  5. Click Save.

The template is now available across the platform.

Using a template in chat

In the chat composer, type @ and select Template. Pick the template you just made. Then write your prompt — for example:

Use this template to make three quote posts about resilience.

Mavic will generate three image posts, each filled into the template you selected.

Using a template in a workflow

When you run an image-generation or social-post workflow, the form will let you select a template from a dropdown.

Updating an existing template

Open the template, edit it, and click Save. Future generations use the new version. Past generations are unaffected — they're locked snapshots, not live links.

For carousel posts (Instagram, LinkedIn), you can build a multi-slide template where each slide has its own layout — useful when slide 1 is a hook, slide 2–4 are content, and slide 5 is a CTA.
