Creating Content Overview

Creating content with Mavic

Mavic gives you three ways to create content. Pick the one that fits the moment.

The three ways

Method

When to use

Type a prompt in chat

You know what you want. Fastest.

Run a workflow

You want polished, structured output without writing the prompt.

Start from an idea or holiday

You want Mavic to suggest the angle.

All three end in the same place: an editable draft inside the chat that you can refine, schedule, or publish.

Method 1 — Type a prompt

Open Chats, write a clear instruction, click Send.

Better prompts produce better posts. Use this template:

[What you want] for [which channel] about [topic], written for @[Customer profile], in @[Writing style]. [Optional: include a CTA, reference a Product, or attach an image.]

Example:

Three Instagram captions for our spring sale, written for @Eco-conscious Millennial, in @Friendly Conversational style. Include a soft CTA to shop now.

The @-tags pull in your saved Customer Profile and Writing Style. See Using @ to reference brand data.

Method 2 — Run a workflow

Workflows are guided forms. Click the workflow icon in the chat composer and pick from four categories:

Image Generation

  • AI image creation (photorealistic, illustrated, branded)
  • Product image variations
  • Image edits

Video Generation

  • Text-to-video (describe the scene, Mavic generates it)
  • Image-to-video — animate a single image
  • Image-to-video — first-and-last frame morph (select models only)

Great for Reels, TikToks, Shorts, and short-form ads. See Generating videos.

Content Creation

  • Product Descriptions
  • Facebook Post
  • LinkedIn Posts
  • Instagram (image, carousel, reel script, story, image-to-caption)
  • Blog Posts
  • Email Marketing
  • Press Release

Each workflow asks for the right inputs (objective, tone, customer profile, platform, SEO keywords, etc.) and produces a structured prompt.

Customize Your Brand

  • Writing Styles
  • Customer Profiles
  • Brand Positioning
  • Brand Personality
  • Ban List

These workflows live here for convenience but they ultimately update Brand DNA.

Ideate

  • Social Media Plan
  • Campaign Concepts
  • Content Calendar Ideas

Use these when the page is blank and you need a starting point.

When you fill in a workflow form, the right-hand panel shows the generated prompt. You can edit it directly, then click Use Prompt to drop it into the chat. Click Send to run it.

Method 3 — Start from an idea or holiday

The Planner is a goldmine for content starters:

  • Saved (starred) ideas — Mavic-generated or your own ideas you've kept
  • Public holidays — country-specific, pulled in automatically
  • Social holidays — quirky days (e.g. National Coffee Day) Mavic surfaces

From the Planner, click an idea or holiday and choose Create content from this. Mavic opens the chat with a pre-filled prompt referencing that starting point.

See Planning content with the Planner.

Picking which method when

  • You're in a hurry, you know what you want → type a prompt.
  • You want it to look polished without much thought → run a workflow.
  • You don't know what to post → start from a saved idea or holiday.
  • You're producing volume → use the Ideate workflow to generate a 4-week plan, then bulk-create from the planner.
