TikTok Connection
TikTok account connection
Mavic connects to TikTok Business accounts. Once connected, you can publish videos, schedule them through the Planner, and pull engagement metrics into Analyze.
There is one known TikTok limitation around paid partnership disclosures — see TikTok: known issue with paid partnership.
Prerequisites
Before connecting:
- Your TikTok account must be a Business account (not Personal or Creator). To switch: open the TikTok app → Profile → Menu → Settings and privacy → Account → Switch to Business Account.
- You must be logged in as the account owner or an admin.
- Allow browser pop-ups in the browser you use for Mavic.
How to connect
- Click Integrations in the side navigation.
- Find TikTok and click Connect.
- Allow browser pop-ups if prompted.
- Log in to TikTok in the pop-up window.
- Approve the permissions Mavic requests:
- Read your profile info
- Read your video list and metrics
- Publish videos on your behalf
- Confirm.
Your TikTok account now shows as Connected with the handle displayed.
What you can do
- Publish vertical videos (9:16, MP4)
- Schedule TikToks via the Planner
- Pull video engagement (views, likes, comments, shares)
- Sync recent posts so they appear in your Planner history
- Generate captions and hashtags in chat — see Creating social media posts
- Generate the video itself — see Generating videos
Video specs to follow
TikTok rejects videos that don't meet its specs. Before publishing:
- Format: MP4
- Aspect ratio: 9:16 (vertical)
- Duration: 3 seconds to 10 minutes
- File size: under 287 MB
- Resolution: 720×1280 minimum
If you're generating the video in Mavic, set aspect ratio to 9:16 in the Video Generation workflow and you'll be in spec automatically.
Common issues
- "No TikTok Business account found" — your account is set to Personal or Creator. Switch to Business in the TikTok app, then retry.
- "Permission denied" — you logged in with an account that doesn't have admin permissions. Log out and retry with the owner account.
- Publishing fails with "video format not supported" — re-export your video as 9:16 MP4 and re-upload.
- Token expired — re-authenticate via Integrations → TikTok → Reconnect. TikTok tokens expire roughly every 365 days.
- Paid partnership won't toggle — this is a TikTok API limitation. See TikTok: known issue with paid partnership for the workaround.
What's not supported
- Personal or Creator accounts (Business only)
- TikTok LIVE
- Direct messages
- Comment moderation
- Paid partnership disclosure toggling (must be added in the TikTok app after publishing)
