Instagram Connection
Instagram accounts connection
Mavic connects to Instagram Business or Creator accounts (not personal accounts). Instagram connections route through Facebook because Meta owns both platforms.
Prerequisites
Before connecting:
- Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account. To switch: open the Instagram app → Settings → Account → Switch to Professional Account.
- Your Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page. To link: in the Instagram app → Settings → Account Center → Add Facebook Page.
How to connect
- Click Integrations in the side navigation.
- Find Instagram and click Connect.
- Allow browser pop-ups.
- Log in to Facebook (this is correct — Instagram auth runs through Facebook).
- Approve permissions:

- Pick the Facebook Page that's linked to your Instagram account.
- Confirm.
Your Instagram account now shows as Connected.
What you can do
- Publish single-image posts, carousels, reels, and stories
- Schedule via Planner
- Pull post engagement (likes, comments, saves, reach)
- Sync past posts
- Generate and apply alt text (see Accessibility: alt text)
Common issues
- "No Instagram accounts found" — your Instagram isn't a Business/Creator account, or it isn't linked to a Facebook Page. Fix in the Instagram app first.
- "Instagram account not linked to a Page" — link via the Instagram app, then retry.
- Reels publishing fails — check the video meets Instagram's spec (MP4, vertical, max length). Mavic surfaces specific errors.
- Token expired — re-authenticate via Integrations → Instagram → Reconnect.

- Direct messages
- Comment moderation (currently)
