Slack Not Working
Slack isn't sending notifications
If Mavic isn't pushing updates to your Slack channel, try these in order.
1. Check that notifications are toggled on
A connected Slack workspace doesn't mean notifications are on. They have to be enabled per type.
- Integrations → Messaging → [your Slack connection]
- Toggle on the notification types you want (performance summaries, publish status, channel disconnect alerts)
- Save
2. Check the right workspace and channel
If you're in multiple Slack workspaces:
- Verify Mavic is connected to the correct workspace
- Verify the destination channel is the one you expected
Wrong workspace = right notifications going to a Slack you don't check.
3. Private channels need an explicit invite
If you connected to a private channel, the Mavic Slack App has to be explicitly invited.
In Slack, open the channel → /invite @Mavic → confirm. Notifications should start flowing.
4. Permissions weren't fully approved
If during the connect flow you skipped any permission, the connection is incomplete.
- Disconnect Slack from Integrations → Messaging
- Reconnect
- This time, approve every permission
5. Slack App was removed
If your Slack admin removed the Mavic app from the workspace, all notifications stop.
- Check with your Slack admin
- Reconnect from Integrations → Messaging
6. Workspace permissions block app installs
Some Slack workspaces only allow admins to install apps. If you're not a Slack admin:
- Ask your Slack admin to approve / install the Mavic Slack App
- Once approved, retry the connect flow from Mavic
7. Browser blocked the auth pop-up
During the connect flow, Slack opens a pop-up. If your browser blocked it, the connection didn't complete.
- Allow pop-ups for
app.mavic.ai - Try again
Still not working?
Disconnect and reconnect once more. If that doesn't work, reach out via the in-app chat with:
- A screenshot of the error (if any)
- The Slack workspace name
- The channel name
