Credit Bundles
Credits, bundles & subscriptions
Mavic uses credits to meter AI usage. Credits come from your subscription plan or one-time bundles. This article covers how the system works and how to keep your credits topped up.
What costs credits
Credits are consumed whenever Mavic generates AI content or performs specific AI-powered tasks. Different features consume different numbers of credits depending on the model you choose (premium models are indicated by the gem). See the full price list inside the app:

- Click your profile icon → Team.
- Open the Credits tab.
- Click See full list of AI-powered actions below the graph.
You'll see every action and exactly how many credits it consumes. This list is the source of truth — it's always up to date.
AI Conversation
An AI conversation consumes credits once per session, rather than per individual message.
Once a conversation has started, you can continue chatting within the same session without additional conversation charges. Other AI actions (such as image generation or document processing) still consume their own credits.
Document Processing
Documents are charged based on the amount of text processed. Every 500 words consumes the listed number of credits.
Video Generation
Video generation is charged per second of generated video.
Where your credits come from
Two sources:
Subscription credits
If you're on a paid plan, you get a monthly credit allowance. These reset each billing cycle — unused credits don't roll over.
One-time credit bundles
One-time credit bundles that can be purchased whenever you need additional credits. Available in:
- 100 credits
- 500 credits
- 1,000 credits
- 5,000 credits
Validity: 365 days from date of purchase.
How credits are consumed
If you have both subscription credits and bundle credits, Mavic uses them in ascending order of expiry. Whichever credits expire soonest get used first — so you never lose value to expiry.
Example
You have:
- Subscription credits expiring Feb 2 (200 credits)
- Bundle A expiring Mar 2 (100 credits)
- Bundle B expiring Sep 2 (500 credits)
Mavic uses subscription credits first → then Bundle A → then Bundle B.
Buying more credits
- Click profile icon → Team.
- Click Buy Credits in the side navigation.

- Credits used

When you run out
AI-powered actions will be unavailable until additional credits are purchased or your subscription credits refresh. Click Buy Credits to add more — credits are available instantly after purchase.
Refunds
Credit purchases are one-time and non-refundable. The 365-day validity is generous, so most users don't run into expiry issues.
Tips
- Watch the bar in the brand selector. It's the fastest way to spot when you're low.
- Buy bundles preemptively if you have a big campaign coming up — running out mid-campaign disrupts momentum.
- Use temporary chats for sensitive ideas — they still cost credits, but they don't pollute your chat history.
- Start fresh chats for unrelated topics to keep per-message costs low.
