What Happens If I Don’t Have a Brand Yet? Here’s How to Get Started

Just starting out and don’t have a website, logo, or fully defined brand yet?

You’re in the right place.

Mavic doesn’t expect perfection.

It’s built to learn about you step by step — even if you’re still figuring things out.

Here’s exactly how onboarding works 👇

Step 1: Choose Your Favourite Social Media Channel

First, select one social media channel where you want to start publishing with Mavic.

You can choose from platforms like:

  • Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, Threads or Bluesky.

This helps Mavic understand where you want to show up first.

You can always add more channels later.

Next, you’ll be asked:

“What’s your brand website?”

  • If you have a website, paste the link into the field.

Mavic will automatically learn about your brand — your messaging, offerings, and tone — directly from your site.

  • If you don’t have a website yet, simply select “I don’t have one.”

No website? No problem.

You can continue setting up Mavic manually, and add a website later anytime.

Step 3: Enter Your Brand Name

Now, add your brand name.

This can be:

  • Your company name
  • Your personal name
  • A working or temporary name

Don’t worry — this isn’t final.

You can always update it later.

Step 4: Tell Us About Your Business

You’ll now answer a few quick questions to help Mavic understand how you work, such as:

  • Whether you’re B2B, B2C, or both
  • Your business type (Startup, SMB, Enterprise, Creator, Non-profit, or Other)

You can select multiple options where applicable.

These answers help Mavic tailor content to your business context.

Step 5: Elaborate as Much as You Can (This Is Key)

Finally, you’ll see open questions like:

  • What do you sell or offer?
  • Who are your customers?

👉 This is the most important part of onboarding.

Even if your ideas aren’t fully formed yet:

  • Be descriptive
  • Share context
  • Write in your own words

The more you elaborate here, the better Mavic can:

  • Understand your audience
  • Match your tone of voice
  • Create content that actually sounds like you

There’s no right or wrong answer — just start where you are.

Final Thoughts

You don’t need a finished brand, website, or strategy to begin.

Start simple. Start now.

Mavic learns as you go — and gets better as you add more context over time.

Whenever your brand evolves, you can always come back and refine your setup 🚀
