Unable to connect to your Messaging Platform?

If you’re having trouble connecting your Slack channel to Mavic, don’t worry, this is usually due to a small configuration or permission issue. Follow the steps and checks below to get your messaging integration up and running smoothly.

What this integration does:

Once connected, Mavic sends important updates directly to your Slack channel, helping your team stay aligned without logging into the platform. This includes:

  • 24-hour performance summaries and upcoming week previews
  • Instant alerts if a social account gets disconnected
  • Notifications for scheduled, published, failed, or cancelled posts

Common reasons why Slack connection may fail:

1. Slack permissions not granted

Mavic requires specific permissions to post messages to your Slack workspace.

  • Make sure you approve all requested permissions during the Slack authorization flow.
  • If permissions were skipped or denied, disconnect Slack and reconnect it again.

2. Incorrect Slack workspace or channel selected

If you’re part of multiple Slack workspaces:

  • Ensure you’re connecting the correct workspace
  • Verify that the destination channel is selected during setup

(Private channels must explicitly invite the Mavic Slack App)

3. Notifications not configured

Even if Slack is connected, notifications won’t appear unless they’re enabled.

  • Go to Integrations → Messaging
  • Select your Slack connection
  • Confirm that notification types (performance updates, publishing status, alerts) are turned on

4. Slack App removed or disconnected

If the Mavic Slack App was removed from your workspace:

  • You may stop receiving updates
  • Reconnect Slack from Integrations → Messaging to restore the connection

5. Limited workspace permissions

In some organizations, only Slack admins can install or approve apps.

  • Check with your Slack workspace admin
  • Ask them to approve or install the Mavic Slack App

How to reconnect Slack

  1. Go to Integrations from the left-hand menu

  1. Navigate to Messaging

  1. Click Connect Slack

  1. Choose the correct workspace and channel
  2. Configure your notification preferences

Once connected, Mavic will immediately start sending updates to your selected Slack channel.
