# Add Your OpenAI API Key (AS)

*Exclusive for Tier 3-5 AppSumo users.*

You can now add your own OpenAI API key to mavic, reducing your AI credit usage by up to 80%. For example, generating a Facebook post will now cost 0.2 credit instead of 1 credit.

To add your API key, simply go to the [Team](https://app.mavic.ai/account/team) section where you will find a field to enter your OpenAI API key.

⭐ Important things to know before adding your API key:
* Only 1 API key can be added per account.
* Ensure you have sufficient funds in your OpenAI account.
* We will run a test message using GPT-3.5-turbo to validate the API key, which will result in a small token usage on your OpenAI account.
